Lab Book 2 Vol. B contains laboratory experiment notes for the period of September 1950, through January 27, 1952. The experiments performed by Dr. Esther M. Zimmer Lederberg during this time period include the discovery of temperate phage Lambda. It is particularly noteworthy because the first paper describing phage Lambda ( λ ) was written by Dr. Esther M. Zimmer Lederberg in 1950, although other researchers (some even having been awarded a Nobel Prize) have attempted to make it appear as if they (not Esther Lederberg) discovered phage Lambda.
